Tau Tau

The Tau Tau chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International is dedicated to helping nursing students at Nebraska Methodist College achieve scholarly excellence while becoming leaders in their fields. Members are inducted annually and are able to take part in a variety of events that support their goals and provide long-lasting connections to fellow nurses.

Sigma Theta Tau International is a nursing honor society with a mission to advance world health and celebrate nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership and service. Founded in 1922, the society currently has more than 135,000 active members worldwide with chapters in more than 85 countries.

2016 is the 10th anniversary of the Tau Tau chapter, which got its charter on April 1, 2006. We support nursing students with grants for dues assistance and are building an endowment fund in order to fund future scholarships. We also support Methodist Research Day each spring and hold a Star Awards ceremony to celebrate nurse leaders who demonstrate excellence in the advancement of nursing practice. Come be a part of our group, and accentuate your nursing experience!
