You’re driven to protect and serve.
We’re driven to help you succeed.
As a Military Friendly® school, NMC creates sustainable and meaningful benefit for those who serve, serve alongside or served: active duty, guard, reserve, military spouses and veterans.
As of 2020, we are a Veteran and Active Duty Supportive postsecondary institution.
Ssgt Cody Wyatt, Senior Nursing NMC Student, was deployed to Houston to render medical care to hurricane victims. NMC had his back while he was away, keeping his place in the nursing program and customizing catch-up opportunities when he returned
In recognition of exceptional support to our service members, NMC received the Above and Beyond Award at the Nebraska Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) annual awards ceremony
We appreciate and celebrate our service members. Please view our Veteran’s Day celebration.
We thank, SFC Mark Araujo, associate director of Financial Aid, for his service during his retirement celebration and presentation of the Meritorious Service Medal.

In accordance with Section 103 of the Veterans Benefits and Transition Act of 2018, NMC does not impose any penalty including late fees, denial of access to classes, libraries or other institutional facilities for students using their VA Educational Benefit Chapter 31, Vocational Rehabilitation, or Chapter 33, Post 9/11 GI Bill. In addition, NMC does not require these students borrow additional funds to cover the student’s inability to meet their financial obligation due to a delay in disbursement of funds from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Thank you to all the veterans who have made sacrifices to keep us all safe.
Thanks to the veterans and active duty military for their service to our country.
