General Background
Dr. Kniewel has been at Nebraska Methodist College since 2004. She has taught in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. She is the MSN Program Director and coordinates the MSN capstone courses and ePortfolios. She has been the chair of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at NMC for several years.

Publications/Presentations
Dr. Kniewel has published in the areas of online learning and student-centered teaching strategies.  She was a coauthor of the chapter Unfolding Case Studies in Evidence-Based Education in the Classroom: Examples from Clinical Disciplines (Friberg, Visconti, & Ginsberg, Eds.). She has contributed to several other nursing textbooks in writing test banks, chapter questions, and nursing concepts.

Professional Service/Recognition/Charitable Work
Dr. Kniewel is member in the Tau Tau chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International and serves as Faculty Counselor. She is an active member of the Graduate Advisory Board at Nebraska Methodist College. Dr. Kniewel is the Program Director for the Nurse Faculty Loan Program and has successfully applied for funding from the Health Resources and Service Administration,
