Maureen Marzano

General Background
Dr. Marzano received her Ph.D. in Organization and Management from Capella University and an MBA  with a concentration in Technology management  from the University of Phoenix Colorado Campus in 2000 and 2005 respectively. Dr. Marzano has over twenty years of multi-industry management and leadership experience in the areas of business development, marketing, human resources, occupational health and safety, health promotion and health education. Industry application includes healthcare systems, insurance companies, manufacturing, service organizations, school systems, community and governmental agencies. In addition, she has extensive undergraduate, graduate and doctorate level curriculum design, teaching and research experience in the areas of business administration, leadership, healthcare, health promotion, health education and public health, and related research.

Since 1997, professionally, she has focused in the area of developing, marketing, implementing and evaluating the effectiveness of healthcare system program and services to address community stakeholder needs for services and programs that support a healthy workforces and communities, as well as provided human resources, occupational health and risk management, and health promotion program and research consulting services. From 1997 to 2003 she worked for Health One, an HCA healthcare system in the Denver area. From 2003 to 2010 she worked for Boulder Community Hospital. During these periods she maintained multiple roles in marketing, project management, occupational health specialist and HR consultant to business and industry to develop community and state initiatives that integrated health promotion and productivity management.

 

She has maintained a private consulting practices since 1997 focusing primarily on health promotion, health literacy and disease prevention with diverse populations. She is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE) and (CACHE) as well as affiliated with multiple state and national healthcare and health promotion initiatives.
