Dr. Kristen McNulty earned a Doctorate of Education from the College of Saint Mary, where her dissertation focus was nursing students’ stress and peer mentoring. Her focus of study during graduate school was pediatric nursing. During this time, she earned the UNMC Trainee Scholarship, and won the Chancellor Sparks' Award for Best Research Paper in the area of Healthcare Delivery, First Place for the Clinical Science Poster Presentation, and Best Presentation by a Graduate Nursing Student at the Midwest Student Biomedical Research Forum.
Dr. McNulty’s clinical background includes the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Her areas of interest in Nursing Education include peer mentoring, pediatrics, health assessment, and infectious diseases.
