Kimberley Meisinger

General Background
As a professional registered nurse, Dr. Meisinger has clinical expertise in critical care nursing, medical surgical nursing and correctional health. Moreover, Dr. Meisinger held various leadership roles within health care organizations to advance the professional roles of nurses throughout the health system. Dr. Meisinger is a member of National League of Nursing, American Nurses Association and Nebraska Nurses Association. Additional, Dr. Meisinger is serving as Director at Large on the Board of the International Association of Forensic Nurses. As current board member, Dr. Meisinger has led efforts on the Social Justice Committee and has been a key-note speaker at the annual conference. Dr. Meisinger has a long history of presenting at local and regional conferences in areas of leadership, nursing education, forensic nursing and correctional health. Dr. Meisinger research interest include innovation in nursing education and health care services, victimology, victim & offender overlap and routine activities theory. 
Dr. Meisinger has completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice with an emphasis in Clinical Systems Administration from Creighton University in 2013. She completed a Post Master’s Graduate Certificate in Forensic Health from Texas A&M University. Additionally, Dr. Meisinger has completed a Master’s degree in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution from Creighton University in 2011 and a MSN focusing on Nursing Education from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2008. Dr. Meisinger completed her BSN degree from the University Nebraska Medical Center in 1999. Dr. Meisinger has board certifications from ANCC as a Nurse Executive and NLN as a board-certified nurse educator.
