General Background
Kim is an attorney with 25 years’ experience in banking, real estate, privacy, intellectual property and business law. In 1994, she graduated from Simpson College summa cum laude, and in 1996, she graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law with high honors. After law school, Kim worked in private practice as an associate and later a partner in an Omaha law firm for 10 years practicing in the areas of corporate law, contracts and mergers and acquisitions. For the past 15 years, she has served as in-house counsel to a financial institution, and she is currently a Vice President in the credit-card division of First National Bank of Omaha. Prior to her current role at the bank, she provided legal counsel to various areas of the bank on various matters including information technology, human resources, compliance, commercial transactions, service provider contracts, intellectual property and privacy. Kim is married with three kids (2 grown and 1 almost grown), and she loves to read (almost anything). Her oldest daughter is a proud 2020 BSN graduate of Nebraska Methodist College.
