Dr. Partusch has been a Professor in the Division of Nursing MSN Program at Nebraska Methodist College since 2004. Previous faculty positions were at three other private colleges, including online teaching experience. Dr. Partusch served as Director of Health Professions for three years, and BSN Program Director for fifteen years prior to coming to Nebraska Methodist College. Dr. Partusch teaches and coordinates courses in the MSN Nurse Educator Track. She is particularly interested in curriculum development and innovation, as well as distance education and learning technology for nurse educators, and has presented on Systematic Integration of Technology into Nursing Curricula. Dr. Partusch has assisted with nursing accreditation reports for both the Collegiate Commission on Nursing Education, and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. She has served as Co-Chair of the Nursing Assessment Team and Co-Chair of the Advancement in Rank Committee, and also serves on the MSN Cirriculum, Admission & Progression Team.
Dr. Partusch's more recent professional activities include nursing education consultant; serving as reviewer for book publishers, Mosby Elsevier, and Jones & Barlett; NLN Nursing Education Perspectives manuscript reviewer; giving poster presentations on Building Nurse Educator/Executive Partnerships Through a Capstone Course, in collaboration with Dr. Jane Hawks; publishing book chapter: Partusch, M. (2007). Assessment and evaluation strategies [Chapter 11]. In Moyer, B.A., & Wittmann, B.. Nursing Education: Foundations for Practice Excellence (pp. 212-227). Philadelphia: F.A.; serving as project manager for Health Services Special Projects (HRSA) Grant from Federal Office of Rural Health Policy; and implementing Service Learning mini-grants in her nurse educator courses.
Professional Service/Recognition/Charitable Work
Dr. Partusch serves as Team Chair and Peer Reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission and has recent training for the Higher Learning Commission Change Panels. She is a member of the American Nurses 'Association and Nebraska Nurses' Association, the National League for Nursing. She also serves on the Finance Committee of Tau Tau Chapter, Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing and holds dual membership with the Gamma Pi-at-Large Chapter. Dr. Partusch is a member of the Sarpy Head Start Health Advisory Committee, and serves as mentor to doctoral students and undergraduate nursing faculty in areas related to nursing education teaching methods.
