OMAHA, Neb. - Nebraska Methodist College's fall 2013 enrollment of 943 is the largest in school history, an increase of 5 percent over the previous record in fall 2012.

It's the tenth consecutive year of record enrollment at NMC, which has nearly doubled in size since 2003.

"We are not only happy with our growth but also in the quality of students we continue to enroll here at NMC," said President and CEO Dennis Joslin. "As we grow, we know we're developing well-rounded, educated citizens that will have a positive impact on the community and will continue to uphold our tradition of excellence in healthcare."

Fall 2013 also marks high enrollment gains in online learning, which now makes up 29 percent of degree-seeking students. The traditional bachelor of science in nursing program continues to be the largest with nearly 47 percent of the student body enrolled in the program.

"This is an exciting time for us at Nebraska Methodist College," said Joslin. "Our growth is a credit to the faculty and staff whose commitment to our students and community continues to build us into one of the premier healthcare education institutions in the country."
