This course is designed for nurses preparing for the CCRN certification exam or those nurses already practicing as CCRNs looking for a review.

Course Description:

CCRN (Critical Care) Review  -  Purpose Statement:  This 2-day course is designed to provide an extensive review of all facets of critical care practice.  It reviews anatomy, physiology, assessment/diagnostics and pathophysiology of all body systems.  Case studies will be incorporated to bridge theory to practice. The course may be used as a CCRN preparatory course or as a review to those practicing as CCRNs.

Speakers:

Leanna Miller, RN, MN, CCRN–CMC, PCCN, CEN, NP

has 29 years of experience in critical care nursing including roles as staff nurse, associate nurse manager, critical care educator-cardiovascular, clinical nurse specialist in critical care, emergency services, and pediatrics, and nurse practitioner in pediatric trauma. She holds baccalaureate degrees in Nursing and Chemistry, master's degrees in Biology/Physiology and Nursing, and completed a post-master's nurse practitioner program. Leanna has published articles and chapters and lectured extensively on a variety of critical care and emergency topics throughout the United States, including the past fifteen AACN National Teaching Institutes. She is President of LRM Consulting in Cottontown, TN, an Assistant in Surgery at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and is an Education Specialist in Cardiovascular ICU at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

In order to obtain contact hours or CEUs for a continuing education event, participants are required to attend the entire event and return a completed evaluation.
