Course Description
Purpose Statement:
This program will provide information for nurses that will enhance excellence in nursing, improve patient outcomes and contribute to a healthy work environment through the use of evidence-based nursing practice.
Participants will be able to:
· Explore current local and national trends in nursing excellence, research and evidence-based practice.
· Discuss initiatives that incorporate nursing research into practice and the impact on patient outcomes.
· Examine the connections between nursing research and practice that lead to improved outcomes for patients.
· Discuss strategies that contribute to professional growth, enthusiasm for change and ongoing quality improvement.
