Course Description

NRP Course Detail 

This course educates healthcare personnel working with neonates on the risks, strategies, and skills necessary to handle cardiopulmonary emergencies and arrest. 

Course Prerequisite: Prior to your Instructor Led Event you are expected to study the text book, complete the exam and complete the eSim cases. You may retake the exam until it is passed. Once you pass the exam you will need to print the certificate and bring it to class. You have 90 days from the date you took your exam to take your Instructor Led Event.

FOR METHODIST EMPLOYEES ONLY: NRP books can be checked out through the Outreach Education Coordinator (Methodist Women's Hospital 4th floor), Rachel Travalik. Books may be checked out for a maximum of 90 days.

Click on the appropriate department below to request exam access. Once you complete your exam through your Healthstream account, you will be able to sign up for your Instructor Led Event. Access to sign up for Instructor Led Events closes 7 days prior to the event.

External Applicants

To sign up for the Instructor Led Event (Megacode) within the Methodist Health System, you will be prompted to do so after exam completion. This process is now conducted through the exam's website (Healthstream) and needs to be completed within 90 days of the exam completion.

Below are the dates that Instructor Led Events are offered in 2017. Testing occurs hourly from 7:00am to 1:00pm.
