Participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the federal legislation related to healthcare information technology and meaningful use.  
  • Identify stage one objectives. 
  • Identify how stage one objectives will be measured.

Marie Kozel, RN-BC, BSN, MBA is the Service Executive for Clinical Informatics at Methodist Hospital. She led the implementation of an integrated Electronic Medical Record for Nebraska Methodist Health System, as well as configuring the EMR to meet federal meaningful use requirements. Marie has many years of nursing experience in acute care Obstetrics.
