Purpose Statement: This program will present information on organ and tissue donation that health care providers can use when working with patients and families in end of life situations.
Participant will be able to:
- Identify recoverable organs for donation.
- Recognize the process of donor identification through the organ recovery.
- Identify recoverable tissues for donation.
- Review the rules and regulations hospitals follow related to potential donors.

Robin Higley, BGS is the hospital liaison for Nebraska Organ Recovery. She has been educating hospital staff for over 5 years on the organ donation process and regulations from CMS and Joint Commission.
