Course Description

Purpose Statement: The purpose of this program is to provide education to support the role of the clinical instructor, including knowledge to enhance the clinical experience for both instructors and students.

Participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the impact of healthcare reform on healthcare delivery and how this impacts the clinical  environment.
  • Identify challenges with privacy laws and social media in the health care setting.
  • Explain AIDET resources to train and evaluate student performance as well as inform clinical instructors and students on how to utilize AIDET communication daily within clinical sites.
  • Examine effective techniques used to enhance clinical relationship amongst healthcare providers and students.
