Course Description

Purpose Statement:  The purpose of this program is to provide knowledge on advanced concepts related to NICU patients.  

Participants will be able to:

  • Discuss best practices related to nutrition in the care of NICU patients.
  • Examine the use of respiratory equipment in the NICU patient.
  • Review sleep as it relates to the preterm infant.
  • Identify sepsis as it relates to the NICU patient.
  • Identify the fluid, electrolyte, and nutritional needs of NICU patients.
  • Examine CNS disorders in NICU patients.                            


                            

***NICU Fellowship Day 1 is October 14, 2014 and NICU Fellowship Day 2 is on October 28, 2014. You must register for each program separately.  Lunch will be on your own for both programs..***
