Purpose Statement: This forum will increase knowledge related to nursing care of the obstetrical and newborn patient. Topics include postpartum norms and complications, postpartum psychosocial concerns, pain management, newborn assessments and procedures, newborn complications, and more!

Program Outcomes:

  • Healthcare professionals are knowledgeable about best practices of differentiating postpartum complications.
  • Healthcare professionals are able to self-report at least one assessment or management technique for hypertensive postpartum complications.
  • Healthcare professionals are knowledgeable about best practices of newborn assessment and identifying newborn complications.
  • Healthcare professionals are knowledgeable about best practices of postpartum assessments and interventions.

In order to receive continuing education credit for this event, you must meet the following completion requirements:
