Purpose Statement: This program is designed to provide an interprofessional forum for staff to engage in learning and implementing best practices in geropalliative care; to improve patient outcomes through sustaining and spreading AgeWISE principles; and to provide ongoing support to AgeWISE RNs and AgeWISE sustainability.

 

Participants will be able to:

  • Discuss cultural, spiritual, and religious influences that are essential in providing optimal patient care.
  • Examine various healing therapy techniques related to Reiki, massage, quantum touch, and aromatherapy.
  • Explore community resources available to enhance the care of individuals with dementia.
