Purpose Statement: The purpose of this program is to provide information on current evidence-based practice guidelines in diagnosing and treating lung cancers.
Participant will be able to:
- Identify environmental influences in the development of lung cancer.
- Discuss evidence based practice for lung cancer screening.
- Explore new approaches to interventional pulmonology.
- Review molecular testing as it relates to AJCC staging of lung cancer.
- Examine current guidelines in radiation treatment for lung cancer.
- Explain when surgical intervention is appropriate in combined modality therapy.
- Review best practices in lung cancer treatment.
