Course Description

Purpose Statement: The purpose of this program is to provide information on current evidence-based practice guidelines in diagnosing and treating lung cancers.

Participant will be able to:

  • Identify environmental influences in the development of lung cancer.
  • Discuss evidence based practice for lung cancer screening.
  • Explore new approaches to interventional pulmonology.
  • Review molecular testing as it relates to AJCC staging of lung cancer.
  • Examine current guidelines in radiation treatment for lung cancer.
  • Explain when surgical intervention is appropriate in combined modality therapy.
  • Review best practices in lung cancer treatment.
