This activity is designed to provide current evidence-based knowledge for advanced practice nurses regarding management of patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Participants will be able to:

  • Identify blood glucose monitoring schedules and goals
  • Examine appropriate insulin and medication practices
  • Describe appropriate health maintenance schedule for T2DM patient
  • Identify appropriate patient education content
  • Describe possible microvascular and macrovascular complications of type 2 diabetes
