Course Description

Purpose Statement:

This program will explore current evidence-based practices in the care and treatment of patients with selected cardiovascular diseases.

Participants will be able to:

  • List key concepts related to current best practices in assessment and management of hemodynamics in patients with cardiovascular disease.
  • Compare and contrast hemodynamic findings and assessments as they relate to a variety of emergent cardiovascular diseases.
  • Examine pharmacologic management strategies for optimizing hemodynamics.
  • Examine the role of palliative care for patients with cardiovascular disease. 

Successful Completion Requirements:

    • Attendance at entire activity
    • Completion/submission of evaluation form
