CNA Reactivation

Individuals previously listed on the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry who have lapsed or become inactive are eligible to reactivate their registration by successfully completing the written and clinical skills exams.

Nebraska Methodist College is an approved provider of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services written and skills competency exams. Please verify eligibility prior to registering by calling, 402-471-0537.

Written Competency Exam (1 hour): $30*
Skills Competency Exam (1 hour): $30*

*Payment is required at the time of registration (no exceptions) and is non-refundable.

Upon successful completion, NMC submits verification to Nebraska Department of Health and Human Service, Nursing and Nursing Support. Questions regarding the registry can be directed to 402-471-0537. Registry status verification may also be done online.

Preparation:

Individuals recertifying need to prepare for both the written and skills exam to successfully pass both elements required for recertification. Options include studying materials from their previous CNA class, reviewing and practicing required skills, and taking a refresher course
