Step 3: What Happens Next

Financial Aid and Your Tuition Bill

Approved financial aid is shown on your statement as anticipated aid. Call the Financial Aid Office if aid does not show and you think it should. There may be something missing. If your anticipated financial aid does not cover your costs, you will owe the difference by the tuition deadlines.

If you feel you need more financial aid, call the Financial Aid Office.

Financial Aid and Book Charges

If you have more financial aid than your tuition bill and have signed the "Permission to Apply Federal Financial Aid to Other Charges" form*, you will be given a Book Waiver Credit in the Bookstore. You may charge textbooks against this credit up to and including the first week of class. After the first week, you will be expected to pay for your textbooks out of your own funds.

*This form is required because Federal regulations do not allow the use of Federal aid for any charges other than tuition, fees and residence hall charges unless we have your written permission.

Disbursement of Aid

Once all requested documents are in and you have begun attending classes, the Financial Aid office will verify your enrollment in class and satisfactory progress in your program. Once completed, your grants and scholarships will be applied to your student account. Your loans will be applied to your account when received from the lender. Remember that you must progress through your program in order to remain eligible for financial aid.
