Purpose Statement: To provide the latest evidence-based care for patients in the acute rehab setting.
Participants will be able to:
- Identify the theory, components and function of the HeartMate II LVAD.
- Discuss nursing care of a patient with a HeartMate II.
- Describe appropriate nursing interventions in the event of a vascular emergency.
