This program is designed to provide opportunities for learning related to leadership development and improvement of patient care and safety.

  • Explain why strategic initiatives are vital to patient care outcomes.
  • Analyze the role of the core coordinator on influencing and impacting patient outcomes.
  • Apply decision-making skills related to care of patients with sepsis.
  • Analyze the role of the core coordinator on influencing and impacting patient outcomes.
  • Apply decision-making skills related to care of patients with diabetes.
  • Explore the role of the core coordinator as an advocate for palliative care services.
  • Identify patients requiring palliative care services.
  • Identify appropriate staffing assignment for palliative care patients.
  • Examine ways to collaborate with physicians on strategic initiatives to achieve healthcare goals.
  • Review highlights of Magnet Site Visit.
  • Discuss Core's role in maintaining Magnet Momentum (recognizing quality of care, innovations, improvements and accomplishments).
