Jane Sims received a Master of Science in Adult Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instructional Design from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas in 2002 and a Bachelor of Science in Radiological Sciences from St. Mary's of the Plain's in Dodge City, Kansas in 1991. While finishing up her bachelor's degree in 1991, she also completed her radiology certification with St. Joseph Medical Center School of Radiology, a hospital-based program in Wichita, Kansas. Ms. Sims has been actively involved in the radiology profession for over 20 years and holds a dual board certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M). Ms. Sims brings to the position a diverse background in radiology having served as a trauma/surgical technologists for over 15 years at a Level 1 Trauma/Burn Center in Wichita, Kansas and in orthopedics and sports medicine for 7 years. Since entering the educational realm of the profession in 1999, previous faculty positions were held at Newman University in Wichita, Kansas and South College-Asheville in Asheville, North Carolina.

Ms. Sims is an active member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and Nebraska Society of Radiologic Technologists (NSRT). Ms. Sims is also an inductee of the Lambda Nu National Honor Society for the Radiologic and Imaging Sciences.
