General Background
Dr. Kyle has taught courses on spirituality, nonviolent peacebuilding, and world religions. He has also served as director of service-learning as well as an instructional designer and technologist. His areas of interest focus on course/program development theories and methods as well as mission-centered approaches to education. Dr. Kyle has completed certification courses in online and blended learning as well as Quality Matters.

Notable Publications/Presentations
Dr. Kyle has published three books: "Sacred Systems", "Spiritual Being & Becoming" and "Living Spiritual Praxis". He has also published several articles and book chapters as well as presented at numerous regional and national conferences such the Teaching Professor's Conference, Religious Education Association, and the Humanities Education & Research Association.

Professional Service/Recognition/Charitable Boards
Dr. Kyle is a member of the Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education, International Society for Technology in Education, and the Nebraska Distance Learning Association. He is also active in a number of community organizations such as Omaha Together One Community, Paws for Friendship, and Ignatian Associates.
