Nebraska's Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education (CCPE) is the state constitutional agency tasked with administering Nebraska's higher education system. A letter from the CCPE dated June 23, 2011, confirms NMC is authorized to operate in the state of Nebraska "on a continuing basis" and exempt from recurrent authorization.

Nebraska Methodist College is a multi-purpose health professions institution, recognized by the University Senate of the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of the United Methodist Church. As such, it also maintains a historic and supportive relationship with the Nebraska Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

The state of Nebraska Board of Nursing has approved the BSN program for the preparation of students to become registered nurses. Graduates are eligible to take the National Council of State Boards Licensure Examinations (NCLEX-RN).

NMC is proud to be an affiliate of Methodist Health System. Created in 1982, Methodist Health System is a strong network of hospitals, healthcare providers, educators and others committed to providing compassionate, quality care to the people of our community.

Nebraska Methodist College has enjoyed a close relationship with Methodist Hospital, another affiliate of Methodist Health System, since the College was founded as the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1891.

As the name implies, Nebraska Methodist College has a formal relationship with the university senate of the board of higher education and ministry of the United Methodist Church.

The United Methodist Church also gives Nebraska Methodist College the opportunity for international linkages through church-affiliated colleges and universities all over the world. Students, staff and faculty have traveled to foreign countries to enhance their learning and teaching through interaction with different cultures.

The Foundation receives all charitable donations to benefit Nebraska Methodist College, and 100% of every gift goes directly to the program or project you choose - not one cent pays for administration costs.
